facilities | intro lab
The introductory sequence of physics courses is accompanied by a concurrent laboratory component. The lab sections have several dedicated learning spaces, where the facilities include:
- A diverse collection of experimental equipment dedicated to the study of motion and force
- An array of Macintosh computers equipped with sensors to acquire and analyze data
- Several electronics components:
- Oscilloscopes
- Breadboards for circuit design and construction
- Digital multimeters
- AC function generators
- Helium-neon lasers for diffraction and holography experiments
- Spectrometers for measurement of atomic spectra
